My 12 Most Anticipated Movies Of 2012

Well 2012 is set to be a great year for movies and hopefully it can live up to the hype. This is going to be a list of my most anticipated films of 2012 so we may as well get it started.

12. American Reunion (American Pie 4) – Finally after years and years of straight to DVD releases they have decided to go back an do another instalment of pie featuring the original characters not the pathetic spin off ones. Hopefully this can be as entertaining as the originals and not as diabolical as the newer releases; this is guaranteed to give us plenty of laughs and cringes. 6th April (UK+USA)

11. Snow White And The Huntsman – This looks like it could be the first ever good Kristan Stewart film , it is an adaptation of the classic fairytale Snow White but it has a more grown up violent feel to it. I just really hope that this won’t be one of the flops of the year and that it lives up to the standards of the trailer. 1st June (UK+USA)

10. Brave – Pixar’s latest film is taking a less family approach to their films with Brave being the first of many to come. Brave is a set in Scotland and centres on a Princess that needs to undo a curse bestowed upon her people. I really hope Pixar will be able to pull off this new direction for their films, well anything can be better their last film, Cars 2. 22nd June (USA) 17th August (UK)

9. Safe House – This film looks like it could turn out to be a great action thriller the trailer looked very promising, but then again this could turn out to be another flop of the year, Ryan Reynolds has had his fair share of them. Safe House also stars Denzel Washington and you can’t for wrong with him, he is a brilliant actor and one of the best of all time. 10th February (USA) 24th February (UK)

8. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter – It’s surprising for me to put a film so high in my list that I know barely anything about and hasn’t had any trailers but from what I have seen and heard I think this will be one heck of a movie and I can’t wait for this. Nothing sounds more awesome than Abraham Lincoln kicking vampire ass, I just hope it looks as amazing as it sounds. 22nd June (USA) 2nd August (UK)

7. Prometheus – Is it or isn’t it a prequel? I loved Ridley Scott’s Alien and this is his long overdue followup, he has said that this isn’t a prequel but is set in the same universe as Alien so it wouldn’t surprise me if they had been keeping it under wraps and this actually turns out to be the prequel everyone thought it was. Prequel or not I still can’t wait for this film, it is guaranteed to be a masterpiece. 1st June (UK) 8th June (USA)

6. Act Of Valor – This has the potential to be a fantastic war film, it stars real Navy SEALS and it has also been said that they were firing live ammunition during filming to make the film so realistic. From the trailer this film looks as though it is jam packed with action that will keep me on the edge of my seat. Lets just hope it doesn’t disappoint. 24th February (USA) 23rd March (UK)

5. Skyfall – Well what can I say about this? Daniel Craig is my favourite Bond since Roger Moore which almost guarantees that I will enjoy this film. I really didn’t like Quantum Of Solace that much and that was just because of the poor storyline I still loved Daniel Craig’s performance. I hope that this film matches the amazing quality of Casino Royale, I loved that film so much and was the best Bond I have ever seen. 26th October (UK) 9th November (USA)

4. The Amazing Spiderman – Andrew Garfield playing Peter Parker could you imagine anything better. Lots of people are having all these doubts about this reboot as they feel it has been way too soon since the Tobey Maguire’s series of films. I think that this film will be a lot better than they last series and this is just judging on the trailer that we saw mid 2011. I really have high hopes for this film and they best not be smashed down, Marc Webb my hope is in your hands. 3rd July (USA) 4th July (UK)

3. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey – Well there is no doubts whatsoever that this film will be amazing. Peter Jackson didn’t disappoint withThe Lord Of The Rings series, in fact they are among my favourite films of all time. I am desperate to see this film it’s just a shame we have to wait until the end of the year. I think that Martin Freeman will be a great Bilbo but we will just have to wait and see. 14th December (UK+USA)

2. The Avengers – Of course this would be on here, I can’t think of anyone who doesn’t have this on their most anticipated movies of 2012. Most of the Marvel films for the last 6 years have been building up to this and I for one can’t wait, I will be in the cinema at the midnight screening. I think they have chosen brilliant actors that fit perfectly with into each role and I can’t wait to see them all playing off each other. We all know it will be brilliant so there is no need for any doubts. 27th April (UK) 4th May (USA)

1. The Dark Knight Rises – Who didn’t expect that? There’s not really much I can say about this that you all haven’t heard before. This is the final instalment in Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise and he is going to be going out with a bang and a big one at that. I can’t wait to see Tom Hardy’s portrayal of Bane, I know lots of people have been complaining about this voice but I think Nolan will work it out. In Nolan we trust. 20th July (UK+USA)
